Rich with meaning and memories, our favorite landscapes speak to us in many ways: joy, beauty, nostalgia, awe, even dissonance. How do composers capture the essence of the land in music? Join naturalist Dave Sutherland for a beautiful fall colors hike to sample music that invokes our sense of place, including works to be featured at future Boulder Philharmonic concerts this season. How would you express your memories of your favorite landscapes through music?

For more information about the upcoming concert season, visit the Boulder Philharmonic’s web site https://boulderphil.org.

Where to meet: Meet at the front of the East Boulder Recreation Center for an easy hike along South Boulder Creek.
