Leader: Steve Jones
Wintering raptor survey at White Rocks Trail in Boulder County. We will walk along the trail towards Boulder Creek and use binoculars and spotting scopes to map perching locations of wintering eagles, hawks, harriers, and falcons. Information from these surveys is used to protect wintering raptor habitat throughout Boulder County.
Dress warmly and bring binoculars or a spotting scope if you have access to them. BCAS has binoculars to loan. If you would like a pair, please include this request in your registration.

Teen Naturalist outings are open to unaccompanied students in sixth grade and up, as well as younger students accompanied by parents. Learn more about BCAS’ Teen Naturalist program.
Cost: This event is free for teens who register.
Registration Required: Please email Steve Jones, curlewsj@comcast.net, to register.
Where to Meet: Meet at the North Teller Farms Open Space parking area. This is located on Valmont Road 0.5miles west of 95th St. NOTE: 95th St. is closed between Valmont Road and Lookout Road.
If you are using a phone to navigate, be careful! Many nav systems default to the South Teller Farm trailhead off of Arapahoe Rd which is not the correct one. The White Rocks Trailhead is also not the correct one — it is located off 95th Street.
