Teen Naturalists: Birds & Butterflies of Gregory & Long Canyons

Join this teen naturalist bird and butterfly hike in upper Gregory and Long canyons with Steve Jones and Yan Chun Su.

We'll walk about 3 miles through one of the most secluded canyons in the Boulder Mountain Park system. During the walk we will use ecosystem stewardship methodology to count butterflies and record behaviors of nesting birds.

This trip is open to middle and high school students and recent graduates. Younger students may also participate but a parent must attend. Loaner binoculars are available for those who would like borrow a pair. Please request these when you register.

Where to Meet: Meet at the Realization Point parking area, 3.2 miles up Flagstaff Mountain Road, at 7:30 am.
