Once in a Blue Moon, we have four full moons fall in a single season! The third full moon is called a “Blue Moon.” To celebrate this rare event, join naturalist Dave Sutherland for a pale moonlit walk to explore legends, stories and hard science about our nearest celestial neighbor. Bring mosquito repellent just in case. Meet at Sawhill Ponds for a flat, easy hike. Appropriate for all ages.

Where to meet: Meet at the parking lot at Sawhill Ponds. Directions and more here.
