  • Golden Ponds Park and Nature Area 2651 3rd Avenue Longmont, CO, 80503 United States (map)

PLEASE NOTE: THIS TRIP IS FULL, BUT YOU CAN JOIN THE WAITLIST.

NOTE: We ask that all field trip participants abide by BCAS Field Trip Etiquette.

Registration Required. Limit 20, please RSVP on the Meetup page. If you’re not already a member of Meetup, you’ll need to join to get details and sign up for this event. Please cancel if you register and can’t make it, so someone on the waitlist can attend.

Megan Jones Patterson will lead us around Golden Ponds in Longmont. She is a wildlife biologist and educator with avian experience from Australia to the neotropics to North America. She is active with both BCAS and Colorado Field Ornithologists. We are really happy to have Megan join us!

Binoculars will be available for loan if you don’t have your own.

After birding for a couple of hours, we will celebrate our outing with drinks you purchase and snacks generously provided by Boulder County Audubon Society at Fritz Family Brewers, a new location for us, to sample the ales and lagers produced by a small family business.

Where to Meet
Birds: Meet at Golden Ponds Nature Area, 2651 3rd Ave. in Longmont. We will meet in the parking lot; there is a restroom near the lot.

Brews: At Fritz Family Brewers, 6778 N. 79th St. in Niwot.
