I want to try a new hike and you’re invited! There is an awesome loop in the foothills south of Boulder that winds from the prairie into the pines and back again. There will be tons of flowers and spring migrant birds as we explore various habitats. I have never taken a group on this loop before so it’s an adventure and the end time is approximate. Since parking is very tight at the trailhead, I’m encouraging everyone to meet at the Park and Ride at Hwy 93 and Marshall Road, and we’ll carpool in the fewest vehicles possible.
Where and when to meet: Meet at 9 AM at the Eldorado Park and Ride (map) at the northeast corner of Hwy 93 and Marshall Road, to carpool to the trailhead. If you need to leave early and drive on your own, we will meet you at about 9:15 at the South Mesa Trailhead on Eldorado Springs Drive (map).
