We'll walk north toward Boulder Creek along the White Rocks Trail. This is a pleasant out-and-back walk on mostly flat terrain. Total walking distance will be about 3 miles. Habitats include ponds and marsh, open grassland/agricultural, and prairie riparian, so there will be opportunities to look for a variety of resident and migrating birds.  If time permits we'll also take a look at Teller Lake #5.  There are no restroom facilities at the parking lot or along the trail.

Where to meet: Meet at White Rocks/East Boulder Trail Trailhead. From 75th Street and Valmont Road, go east on Valmont 2.1 miles to parking lot on the right (south). From the east, the trailhead is just over 1/2 mile west of 95th Street. For directions and more click here.
