Participants must follow CDC and State of Colorado and Boulder County Public Health guidelines on the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants must also follow individual field trip leader requirements, such as fully vaccinated status to register and/or wearing masks when in close proximity. And, PLEASE stay home if you are feeling unwell.
Take a bird walk through a variety of habitats at White Rocks Nature Preserve with Carl Starace. Possible bird species will be Wood Duck, Spotted Sandpiper, American Avocet, Osprey, Northern Harrier, Eastern and Western Kingbirds, Yellow-headed Blackbird, Yellow Warbler, Common Yellowthroat and Bullock’s Oriole. There are no restroom facilities.
Where to meet: Meet at White Rocks/East Boulder Trail Trailhead. From 75th Street and Valmont Road, go east on Valmont 2.1 miles to parking lot on the right (south). From the east, the trailhead is just over 1/2 mile west of 95th Street. For directions and more click here.
