As August’s full Sturgeon Moon rises over the land, naturalist Dave Sutherland will lead you into the mysterious world of nocturnal animals. Explore your senses in the darkness: listen like a bat, smell like a moth, feel with your whiskers and learn to see by moonlight. Find out why the dark is not as scary as it seems!

Where to meet: Meet at the Sawhill Ponds trailhead. From 75th St, turn west on the dirt road at about 0.6 miles miles north of Valmont Rd and travel about 0.4 miles to the trailhead. Directions and more here.
