Lafayette Birds! First Sunday Bird Watching

No cost, no reservations needed

All, including beginning birders, are invited to experience the fun and discovery of bird watching at the Greenlee Wildlife Preserve. Held the first Sunday of each month year-round, knowledgeable bird watchers will be on hand with binoculars, spotting scopes, and learning tools to assist in the fun activity of identifying birds in their most natural habitat.

No RSVP required...drop by anytime between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 PM. Park in Waneka Lake lot and walk around the lake to Greenlee or park on nearby Waneka Lake Trail. Per the CDC and State of Colorado and Boulder County Public Health, most public health orders are now lifted. Face coverings are no longer required for fully vaccinated individuals on our field trips. Those who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a face covering. Those who are fully vaccinated may choose whether or not to wear a face covering.

Where to meet: Meet on the observation deck at Greenlee Preserve. Parking is available at the Waneka East or West parking lots and Greenlee is located on the northwest side of Waneka Lake.
