All, including beginning birders, are invited to experience the fun and discovery of bird watching at the Greenlee Wildlife Preserve. Held the first Sunday of each month year-round, knowledgeable bird watchers will be on hand with binoculars, spotting scopes, and learning tools to assist in the fun activity of identifying birds in their most natural habitat.
No RSVP required...drop by anytime between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 PM. Park in Waneka Lake lot and walk around the lake to Greenlee or park on nearby Waneka Lake Trail. During the COVID pandemic this event will follow all local and state regulations. Small groups (<6) will walk with individual leaders in the area. All participants must wear masks and should follow 6 ft social distance guidelines between those from different households.
Where to meet: Meet on the observation deck at Greenlee Preserve. Parking is available at the Waneka East or West parking lots and Greenlee is located on the northwest side of Waneka Lake.
