CANCELLED - Jungle Birds of Boulder

PLEASE NOTE: THIS FIELD TRIP HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Limit 20, RSVP to trip leader to reserve your spot after 6:00 pm on Monday May 24. Early registration is not accepted.

Trip Leader: Dave Sutherland, dsutherland4747@gmail.com https://www.davesutherland.co/

NOTE: Participants for this field trip must be fully vaccinated. Participants must follow CDC and State of Colorado and Boulder County Public Health guidelines on the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants must also follow individual field trip leader requirements, such as fully vaccinated status to register and/or wearing masks when in close proximity. And, PLEASE stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Why fly to Belize or Costa Rica when their birds will come to us? Join naturalist Dave Sutherland for an easy hike into a local birding hotspot to search for colorful migratory song birds newly arrived from the steamy jungles south of the border. Birdwatchers of all abilities welcome. Bring binoculars, a spotting scope if you have one, and books (we will use Birds of Costa Rica as our guide book in the field - no joke).

Where and when to meet: Meet at 7:30 AM at the neighborhood access point to Bear Canyon trail – a google map search for Bear Canyon Trailhead or 1520 Bear Mountain Drive in Boulder will get you there. Free parking is available along the street.
