Ducks! and more Ducks! (South Platte River)

Participants are expected to comply with current government social distancing requirements and precautions. Participants must wear face masks over their mouth and nose throughout the event and must maintain 6 feet distance from other participants who are not members of the same household. Participants are discouraged from carpooling to and from this event with other participants who are not members of the same household.

Limit 6, RSVP to trip leader to reserve your spot. RSVP window starts on February 8th at 6pm. (Early registration is not accepted).

Join Emil Yappert for a duck-watching field trip to the Platte River near 88th St in Denver/Commerce City. We can pretty much see every duck common to Colorado in this area and have an outside chance to observe Barrow’s Goldeneye as well. Loaner binoculars are available from the trip leader. Please let the trip leader know you want the binoculars with your RSVP.

Where to meet: Meet at the Platte River Trailhead parking lot just south of the intersection of 88th Ave and Colorado Blvd in Thornton.
