Trip leader: Megan Jones Patterson
Megan Jones Patterson is a wildlife biologist and educator with avian experience from Australia to the neotropics to North America. She is active with both Boulder County Audubon Society and Colorado Field Ornithologists. We will also be joined by Steve Telleen, a birder and naturalist who has a PhD in Evolutionary Biology and a long professional career in computer work and academia. Steve will explain some things about the ecological importance of the South Boulder Creek flood plain on the CU property.
Bring binoculars, water, and insect repellent. Loaner binoculars will also be available. At Under the Sun you pay for your own drinks, and BCAS provides appetizers, as usual.
Where to meet: On the west side of Highway 36, turn south off Table Mesa Drive onto South Loop Road. Meet at the main parking lot at the end of the short road.
