Boulder Birds & Brew: White Rocks Nature Preserve

PLEASE NOTE: THIS TRIP IS FULL, BUT YOU CAN JOIN THE WAITLIST.

NOTE: We ask that all field trip participants abide by BCAS Field Trip Etiquette.

Registration Required. Limit 20, please RSVP on the Meetup page. If you’re not already a member of Meetup, you’ll need to join to get details and sign up for this event. Please cancel if you register and can’t make it, so someone on the waitlist can attend.

Jim Guerin will lead us this time at White Rocks Nature Preserve. Jim has been actively birding in the U.S. and internationally for 20 years and has also accompanied our group many times.

Binoculars will be available to loan if you don’t have your own.

Bring repellent for the lakes, just in case.

After birding for a couple of hours, we'll make our way to Wild Provisions, a brewery we haven't visited before. They tout their Czech-style lagers and wild-fermented craft beers. We have reserved the private room for our group, and Boulder County Audubon Society has generously offered to provide snacks to go with our drinks.

Where to Meet
Birds: Meet at the Teller Farm North parking area on the south side of Valmont, between 75th and 95th (NOT the Teller Lakes South parking lot off Arapahoe Ave. where Google Maps usually directs "Teller Lakes" to, and also NOT the White Rocks Trailhead off 95th).
Brews: Wild Provisions, 2209 Central Ave, corner of Flatiron Parkway and Central Ave, across the street from Upslope Brewing.
