Celebrate Earth Day! Birding Walden and Sawhill Ponds with Diane Wells

Limit 12 participants. RSVP to trip leader after 6 PM on Monday April 11 to reserve your spot. Early registration is not accepted.

Participants must follow CDC and State of Colorado and Boulder County Public Health guidelines on the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants must also follow individual field trip leader requirements, such as fully vaccinated status to register and/or wearing masks when in close proximity. And, PLEASE stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Beginning birders welcome! Bring binoculars and be prepared for a 3-hour walk around Walden and Sawhill ponds. We will look for ducks, herons, kingfishers, hawks, eagles, and whoever else shows up! Loaner binoculars are available upon request.

Where and when to meet: Meet at 8:00am at the Cottonwood Marsh picnic shelter. Park in the main Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat lot, located just south of Cottonwood Marsh. The parking lot does fill up. You may have to park in the lot at the first fishing pond and walk to Cottonwood Marsh. Directions and info about the area here.
