Birding for All Levels at Walden Ponds

NOTE: We ask that all field trip participants abide by BCAS Field Trip Etiquette.

Registration required. Limit 25 participants. RSVP to trip leader after 6 PM on Monday April 14 to reserve your spot. Early registration is not accepted.

Description: A relaxed morning of birding at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat for all experience levels. We’ll start at the and spend the next 2-3 hours meandering around the area’s many loops, scanning various ponds and marshes, and identifying as many resident and migrant bird species as possible. Daniel will be there to answer any questions and keep a diligent eBird checklist for any interested participants!

Where to meet: Meet at the Cottonwood Marsh trailhead at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat. Walden Ponds is just west of 75th St. between Valmont Rd. and Jay Rd. At the Walden Ponds sign on 75th St., turn west, follow the road as it curves to the south, and turn right into the Cottonwood Marsh parking lot. Maps and info about the area can be found here.
