Getting to Know Your Avian Neighbors: Birding for Beginners

Limit 12 participants. RSVP to trip leader after 6 PM on Monday March 14 to reserve your spot. Early registration is not accepted.

Participants must follow CDC and State of Colorado and Boulder County Public Health guidelines on the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants must also follow individual field trip leader requirements, such as fully vaccinated status to register and/or wearing masks when in close proximity. And, PLEASE stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Bring binoculars and be prepared for a 3-hour walk around Walden and Sawhill ponds. We will look for ducks, herons, kingfishers, hawks, eagles, and whoever else shows up! Loaner binoculars available upon request.

Where and when to meet: Meet at 8:00am at Cottonwood Marsh. Park in the main Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat lot, located just south of Cottonwood Marsh. More info about the area here.
