Thursday March 7, Friday March 8, or Saturday March 9, 7-9 PM

The huge planet Jupiter shines overhead this month. With a large telescope, over the course of an evening we can watch its four brightest moons move back and forth as they orbit the planet. If we get bored with Jupiter, there are lots of other things to look at: the Orion Nebula, colorful double stars, glittering clusters of young suns, or maybe a distant galaxy spinning at mind-numbing distances. Join Community Naturalist Dave Sutherland for a telescopic peek into the vast reaches of the sky. Dress warmly, bring gloves!

Where to meet: Meet at Boulder Valley Ranch - Sage Trailhead, 3900 Longhorn Road, Boulder. From HIghway 36 north of Boulder, take Longhorn Road east about one mile to the trailhead. Click here for info and directions.
