Trip Leader: Jim Fischer

Spring is in the air, right? This time we're going to bird a new place and visit a new brewpub - our group has not been to either. Jim Fischer is a long-time birder with sightings in over forty countries and he is a knowledgeable, fun guide.

At Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm, including Stearns Lake, we could see waterfowl, passerines, and raptors (Bald Eagles nest here). Binoculars will be provided for those who need them..

After birding for a couple of hours, we will go to 12 Degree Brewing in Louisville, which specializes in Belgian-inspired ales. You purchase your own drinks and BCAS will generously provide some munchies for us

Where to meet: Meet in the parking lot for the Stearns Lake trailhead, accessed from Dillon Rd. and 104th St. at Rock Creek Farm. For area info click here. 12 Degree Brewing is at 820 Main St. in Louisville (map).
