World Migratory Bird Day

Join Environment for the Americas and Boulder County Audubon Walden Ponds, a local favorite birding spot, to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day! This year’s conservation theme is “Protect Insects, Protect Birds.” Learn more about World Migratory Bird Day worldwide events, past conservation themes, the amazing artwork, and much more here. (Please note that the global World Migratory Bird Day is May 11th but the local celebration is May 18th).

Boulder County Audubon will have a table at the event with games geared to promoting our mission “to be a voice for birds and wildlife conservation through habitat protection, advocacy, and nature education” and highlighting the need for insects for birds.  We will have some binoculars for guests to use at our station and on short nature walks that we will lead.

Where to meet: Meet at the Walden Ponds parking lot, just west of 75th St. between Valmont Rd. and Jay Rd. At the Walden Ponds sign on 75th, turn west, follow the road as it curves to the south, and turn right into the parking lot at Cottonwood Marsh. More info about the area here.
