Teen Naturalists: Winter Raptor Survey

Leader: Steve Jones
Location: White Rocks Trail, east Boulder County (meet at Teller Farm North parking lot on Valmont Road a half-mile west of 95th St)

Wintering raptor survey on White Rocks Trail. This will be a repeat of our November survey when we mapped perching locations of 5 Bald Eagles, 2 woodland ("Cooper's") hawks, and at least 3 Red-tailed Hawks within the lower Boulder Creek floodplain, which is being considered as a location for a major new commuter trail. We also observed foraging mink and muskrats. Please dress warmly.

Binoculars and digital cameras are available to borrow. Please request these while signing up for the trip. Please contact leader Steve Jones to sign up for the trip: curlewsj@comcast.net
