Are you new to Boulder? Or an old-timer who wants to learn some amazing stuff about local wildlands? Get a crash course in your Open Space with Community Naturalist Dave Sutherland. Enjoy an introduction to the area’s biology, geology and history while hiking through beautiful ponderosa pine forests. Take in lovely views plus a chance to see wildlife. Meet at the "secret" back entrance into Chautauqua - a quiet neighborhood access point with plenty of free parking. 3 miles, 400’ elevation gain. Please bring strap-on traction for footwear (e.g. micro-spikes or Yak-tracks) since the trail WILL be very slick and icy.

Where to meet: Dave will provide the meeting location to registered participants.
